RingTheBell Contest Recap

On August 25th, 2009, more than twenty lucky @DataJunkies were given the opportunity of a lifetime – to head over to Times Square and ring the closing bell at the NASDAQ MarketSite. The Twitter-based contest ran for less than two weeks, but brought together an enthusiastic group to participate in the NASDAQ Closing Bell Ceremony.

Here’s what happened:
Starting on August 13th, NASDAQ DataJunkies sent us tweets that included #ringthebell and @DataJunkies - many fervently declaring their desire to ring the bell.
Some were creative:

At the end of the contest, we used an algorithm to randomly choose the winners.
