Measure Market Sentiment in a Stock Before You Place a Trade!
- NASDAQ
- August 31st, 2009
Gauging market sentiment and knowing whether activity is bullish or bearish in a particular stock can be difficult to measure. Previously, sentiment was measured on a trading floor and required the person to have good instincts and a lot of experience. Now, with NASDAQ Velocity and Forces, you can detect surges in trading interest before trades occur and view a real-time, pre-trade indication of the direction of the stock. Velocity and Forces uses actual order activity that can be accurately quantified in order to help you determine what stocks are hot and when to place your orders.
Update – October 6th. Unfortunately, due to SEC rules, we had to end the free trial of Velocity and Forces on StockTwits. No worries though —you can still access Velocity and Forces via the NASDAQ OMX Data Store for $5/month. So what are you waiting for? Try Velocity and Forces today and tweet your findings to other Data Junkies.
