How to Send to a Group Using the “g nickname” Command

The “g nickname” command allows you to send to a StockTwits desktop group exclusively without it hitting Twitter/StockTwits or the “All Messages” stream in the Desktop.
To send this message, first you have to find the Group nickname. This is located on the Groups page. You can get there by clicking on Groups on the top panel, finding the group you want, clicking on the Gear icon and clicking on View. The nickname will appear after Nickname:
Then, simply open a message box type “g” then your group’s nickname, enter your message and hit Post It. The message will now appear exclusively in that group.
Below is a sample message you would send for the RSS Feed group (nicknamed “rss”):
