Innovating Streams: Predictions for $TWENTYTEN and $EXCHTALK with @CMEGROUP

We continue to innovate our use of streams on StockTwits.

To date, we have employed StockTwits streams mostly for assets and the Suggested List.  We started with US Equities but have since added a few international equity market symbols, Forex, Chart.ly, futures and recently the Options Force Suggested List with @CBOE.

And while we have been planning this for a while, it is time to push out some of the more creative streams that we think our users will love.

This morning we announce two new streams that will be fun and valuable.

First, at 9am CT (10am EST) today, @AllanSchoenberg hosts @CMEGroup’s Exchange Talk Interview Program.

This a “Twitterview” program that has been going on for a while on Twitter but by bringing it to a specific StockTwits stream, we have improved the functionality, the context and have made archiving much easier.

Today’s guest, super sharp Forex pro and awesome guy @KevinMHughes.  The tag is $EXCHTALK and you can pull up the stream here. :)

Also, we are announcing a new contest in conjunction with @CMEGroup that should be a ton of fun!

If you have market related predictions for the coming year, you can use the tag $TWENTYTEN as we are organizing them on that stream.  Also, if you have done a prediction blog post for the coming year, also make sure to tag it when you tweet it.

We, along with @AllanSchoenberg and @CMEGroup will read all of these, choose the 6-8 best and then will get our very own and most favorite Naked Putz, @HowardLindzon, to interview you on the new StockTwitsTV coming in early January.

Over the next couple of months, we will be adding new stream categories and a bunch of new streams.  This will allow our community to discover much more and in a better organized fashion and it will also, we believe, allow for the growth of many sub-communities within StockTwits.
